This is right up there with this.
How much more damage will Baby Boomers continue to do to the dignity of worship? I was going to ask if the last Boomer would turn out the lights when they are done messing up western civilization, but I think it would be best if they didn't. The rest of us need to see to start cleaning up...

ReplyDeleteAs Thy little, lowly hound,
Nobler name could suit me never,
Better title ne'er be found,
What I am I clearly see:
Only evil dwells in me,
Never shame and scandal fleeing
I am beast in heart and being.
Panting for naught else I plead Thee
Only for a scrap to eat,
Only with that goodness feed me,
Which a dog has at Thy feet!
All Thy saints who here to Thee
Are devoted faithfully
Shall in Heaven's heights be able
To be seated at Thy table.
Paul Gerhardt, after Nathan Chyträus' "Sum canis indignus" (tr. mine).
This is just creepy.
ReplyDeleteCreepy is the word.

Katy,
ReplyDeleteEeeeeww ... who comes up with this stuff? ... Or, perhaps more appropriate to the "song," Where does this stuff come up from?
I'm not at all surprised that the singer wore a mask. I'd want to be anonymous too!
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me you're gonna like this one as well... :-)
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that I will see and hear this in a Lutheran teacher conference in upcoming years.
