Kneeling for the Consecration - Theology and Practice

Check out this beautifully-written manifesto defending the traditional liturgical practice of kneeling at the consecration of the Holy Eucharist, written by Deacon Latif Gaba at the blog of the Society of Saint Polycarp.

  1. Father Beane: Your words are gracious and unworthy of me. I am glad, however, that you have linked the blog piece here, for the sake of the subject matter. A rousing conversation it has yet to instigate, but there is always hope.

  2. We've always had kneelers at my congregation (in Southeast Missouri) but I always thought it strange when we visited Great Grandma Scholl and Great-Great Grandpa Hoehne at Trinity Altenburg when I was a little kid and watched them all stand up for Communion around the front of the altar.
