  1. How do the Orthodox explain their participation in such events? Anyone know?

  2. I think they explain it by the fact that the bishop can do whatever he pleases... and theosis (they explain everything with theosis).

  3. Hello,

I've just come across your blog a few weeks ago. I am a Reformed Christian with a st rong love for Luther and Chemnitz. I've really appreciated the issues you deal with in this blog.

    1. How delightful an endorsing post, sir!

But on what day is the carnal death and heavenly bliss of St. Rong ... clearly a solid Lutheran, by your witness ... commemorated?

      Herr Doktor

  4. Included in the blasphemous interfaith debauchery is the incessant "Me, me, me" of the Narcissist-in-Chief.

  5. The Orthodox and Rome differentiate these things from worship -- which is the Mass or Divine Liturgy. Lutherans may not appreciate the distinction but it is a clear one. There can be no participation in the holy except for those who are share the same communion of what is believed but these are not the holy in the same way the Mass is or the Divine Liturgy is... at least that is how I read them...

  6. Well now, I don't mean to venture deeply into the perilous waters of psychohistory ... but that incessant nose-in-the-air visage suggests that the diagnosis is not merely limited to presidents elected by 21st century nitwits, but also to the 19th century nitwits who engineer excommunicating "Councils" sorely lacking in authority.

    Your (unworthy) servant,
    Herr Doktor
